Jewish Senior Life uses media to trigger memories in dementia patients

Jewish Senior Life recently launched its new Music & Memory program. Caregivers will provide personalized playlists to residents with Alzheimer’s, dementias and other cognitive and physical challenges so they can connect with the world through music-triggered memories.

The music can help residents shift their moods, manage stress-induced agitation, stimulate positive interactions, facilitate cognitive function and coordinate motor movements, according to a press release from the care agency.
