The organization was named a U.S. News Best Nursing Home, which fewer than 15 percent of nursing homes achieved. Additionally, the Jewish Home ranked in the top 20 percent of nursing homes according to NRC Health, earning the Excellence in Action award for resident satisfaction.

U.S. News ranks nursing homes on a five-point scale, from 1 (Poor) to 5 (Top Performing). The Jewish Home of Rochester earned the Top Performing rating for demonstrating consistently high performance in national quality measures from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

NRC Health selects its Excellence in Action winners based on a customer-satisfaction survey. Nursing homes rank in the top 20 percent based on the percentage of residents and family members who rated the facility as “Excellent.”
