Jewish Senior Life has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
Jewish Senior Life strives to create a caring, supportive and flexible environment with meaningful and rewarding work, as well as competitive benefits and perks that ensure employees have a happy and healthy place to work. In addition to being recognized a as a Top Workplace, the organization was also honored with the “Manager’s Award,” having received exceptional ratings by its employees who cited that their managers help them learn and grow, make it easier for them to do their jobs well and care about their concerns.
“At Jewish Senior Life, passion and purpose come together to create a place where employees are supported and are making a difference in people’s lives every day,” said Mike King, President and CEO of Jewish Senior Life. “We’re so thrilled that our employees voted for this honor for the second consecutive year, and we sincerely thank all our staff who make this team feel like family.”
Jewish Senior Life is one of the largest non-profit employers in Rochester, with more than 1,000 employees.
“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
