Jewish Senior Life Finds Unique Ways to Entertain Residents

ROCHESTER, NY – April 1, 2020

At Jewish Senior Life we are finding creative ways to provide activities and entertainment for our residents, while maintaining social distancing for health and safety.

We are using technology to help our residents stay active. Our fitness instructor, Jodi Brodzinski is live streaming exercise classes twice weekly for residents at the Summit at Brighton, Wolk Manor and Lodge at Wolk Manor using Zoom. Residents are amazed at the technology and get excited when Jodi tells them that they are doing a good job!

We are also using technology to keep our residents entertained. At the Jewish Home, residents are accustomed to regular group entertainment. Our talented musical entertainers are now recording ‘live from home’ performances via YouTube which we are broadcasting across our residents’ television channel.

Today we had the pleasure of a live performance by our concierge, Tony Talia. Tony, who has worked at Jewish Senior Life for nearly 20 years, is also a talented singer and one of our most popular performers at the Jewish Home. Tony performed for the residents and the concert was live streamed. Residents enjoyed the show on their TVs in their own rooms.

Jewish Senior Life continues to provide unique ways to bring entertainment and a smile to our residents.

Barb and Georgie, Cottage resident, enjoy watching Tony on Georgie’s room TV.
A Wolk resident enjoys working out with Jodi via live stream.
