Jewish Senior Life Earns Three-Year Quality Accreditation

Rochester, NY — December 30, 2020 — CARF International has announced that Jewish Senior Life has once again achieved CARF accreditation. CARF accreditation has been the recognized benchmark of quality health and human services for more than 50 years. The results of a Continuing Accreditation during Pandemic (CAP) survey, conducted in November, awarded the organization a 3-year accreditation for the following lines of business:

  • Independent Living – The Summit at Brighton
  • Assisted Living – Wolk Manor & The Lodge
  • Person-Centered Long Term Care & Dementia Care Specialty Program – The Jewish Home
  • Adult Day Services – The Jewish Home Adult Day Health Care Program

Jewish Senior Life is the only Rochester-area organization, and one of only six in the New York State, to have earned this recognition.

This accreditation represents the highest level that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving this Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

“Jewish Senior Life should take pride in achieving this high level of accreditation,” noted CARF International President and CEO Brian Boon, Ph.D. “This achievement is an indication of dedication and commitment to improving the quality of lives of persons served.”

“We’re very proud to be recognized by CARF for our commitment to person-centered care for all those that we serve,” said Jewish Senior Life President and CEO Michael King. “For the last 100 years, our mission has remained constant. We help older adults thrive in an atmosphere of respect, compassion and individuality. This accreditation affirms our achievements.”
