Jewish Senior Life Recognized as a Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative’s Level Up Champion

ROCHESTER, NY – September 15, 2021 – Jewish Senior Life has been recognized by Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative (RMAPI) as a Level Up Champion. The initiative celebrates employers who have made the decision to increase their minimum wage to $15 or higher.

“We are proud to make the pledge to RMAPI to help address poverty,” says Michael King, President and CEO of Jewish Senior Life. “The decision to increase our minimum wage aligns with our organization’s longstanding dedication to invest in our employees. They are our greatest asset and the heart of our organization.”

“We understand the importance of earning a sustainable wage, and want to contribute to the success of Jewish Senior Life employees,” says Robert Baker, Board Chair of Jewish Senior Life. “We are inspired by this initiative and honored to be among many other organizations in being recognized by RMAPI as a Level Up Champion.”

The Level Up Champion distinction shows current and potential employees that an organization is committed to fighting poverty in the community. RMAPI recognizes these organizations and hopes to inspire other employers to commit to $15 starting wage and be part of the movement to lift the Rochester community.
