Christine Van Vessem, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Quality

(January 5, 2024 – ROCHESTER, NY) Christine VanVessem has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Quality at Jewish Home. VanVessem holds a Master of Science degree in Public Administration from SUNY Brockport and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

VanVessem joined Jewish Home in 2008 as the Director of Staff Development and Quality Improvement and has successfully led Jewish Home’s quality initiatives—resulting in the organization being twice-accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). She has also provided guidance and oversight for Project SEARCH®, a pre-employment program in collaboration with Heritage Christian Services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

In addition to Project SEARCH®, VanVessem has brought several workforce development programs to life: Jewish Home’s Job Path, which assists refugees in finding meaningful employment, and Nursing YOU, which provides opportunities for people to advance their nursing education and career. VanVessem has also led the charge for Jewish Home’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). “We focus on creating a culture of belonging that respects individuality. It’s our goal to ensure people not only have opportunities for employment, but that they feel supported and valued as they advance their career here at Jewish Home,” says VanVessem.

“Over the past several years, Christine has successfully led our Staff and Organizational Development team and provided oversight for quality assurance,” says Michael S. King, President and Chief Executive Officer at Jewish Home. King continues, “I am confident Jewish Home will continue to make strides in employee recruitment, retention, and engagement, as well as continued improvements in quality for all programs and services.”
