A Promise for Life

Every day at Jewish Senior Life, we make good on our promise to help people in our community live the way they want to live. This means caring for the whole person in body, mind, and spirit. It’s the foundation for our work enhancing the quality of life, health, and well-being of older adults, their families, and others in our community.

We believe our residents deserve to live life to the fullest. Through your ongoing commitment and generosity, Jewish Senior Life can continue to be there for whatever life brings. We know that aging is a gift, and the key to aging well is having the right support and resources in place.

We bring exactly this support to more than 2,000 seniors and their families every year. Our commitment to our residents and our community is unwavering, and we invite you to join us in this important work.

What began as a small residence on St. Paul Street has become the go-to resource for high-quality care in the greater Rochester area. For nearly 100 years, thousands of donors have helped shape the work and mission of Jewish Senior Life. The organization is rooted in Jewish values and, today, is open to all. As we look to the future, we haven’t stopped dreaming—our dedicated staff, leadership, and volunteers are committed to a best-in-class experience for all who are touched by our mission.

Today, Jewish Senior Life is a leader in innovation and excellence. We are nationally recognized for our high-quality services; some of our many achievements include:

  • Best Nursing Home, U.S. News & World Report , 2017-2018
  • One of the top employers in Rochester three years in a row
  • Ranked in the top 20 percent of nursing homes by NRC Health
  • Earned NRC Health’s Excellence in Action award for resident satisfaction
  • Earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)

Your investment helps define senior care
At Jewish Senior Life, the programs we provide create an environment where individuals are empowered and relationships between staff and residents, guests and patients are meaningful. Our progressive programs are made possible in large part by the generous contributions from donors like you that deeply enhance the quality of life, health and well-being of older adults in our community.
