Welcome to Miriam’s Circle
Helping elders live the way they want to live
Every day at Jewish Senior Life, we make good on our promise to help elders live the way they want to live. This means caring for the whole person in body, mind, and spirit. It’s the foundation for our work enhancing the quality of life, health, and well-being of older adults, their families, and others in our community.
Through Miriam’s Circle, a special giving program founded by women for women, Jewish Senior Life is able to provide programs that enrich elders’ lives. For instance, the Better Together intergenerational program with Hillel Community Day School helps elders and children learn and connect through sharing special experiences.
Please help us to continue to provide this and other rewarding programs. For only $118, you can become a member of Miriam’s Circle. When you join, you will also enjoy opportunities to engage in Jewish Senior Life through educational programs and special events, and connect and create meaningful relationships with other like-minded women.
Together, the members of Miriam’s Circle support programs that help our residents live more meaningful lives. Through your philanthropy and leadership, you have the power to make a difference.
Miriam was the first female prophet and the older sister of Moses. Her prophecy is about deeds of love, caring and compassion. At the Passover Seder, a Miriam’s Cup filled with water is a symbol of Miriam’s nurturing and support. And in Jewish lore, the Hamsa is known as the Hand of Miriam. It symbolizes providing a “protecting hand.” Miriam’s Circle provides a protecting hand to the residents of Jewish Senior Life.
