Jewish Home is pleased to announce that Rabbi Steven Rubenstein has joined the organization as the Director of Chaplaincy Services. He will serve the spiritual needs of the residents, families and staff through one-on-one and group programs.
Jewish Home has launched a new mobile application, JSL Connect, to make it easier for residents and family members to be connected to important information, enhancing care and quality of life. Through the app, they can review residents’ daily schedules and activities, and communicate directly with the care team.
Jewish Home is honored to have been named a finalist for the 2018 ETHIE Awards by the Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation (RABEF). We are in the business of providing passionate, person-centered care, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In order to do that, we must have individuals with critical thinking skills who can respond “in the moment” and behave ethically as an organization, and as individuals.
Residents of Jewish Home and students from the Hillel Community Day School come together to connect and learn from each other. The program not only teaches students what it means to give back to the community, but the education and development of these special relationships enriches the lives of both the students and the residents.

Thanks to a partnership between Jewish Home and Heritage Christian Services, young adults with disabilities now have a new internship opportunity. Beginning on Oct. 2, the two organizations will offer Project SEARCH®, a nationally recognized work preparation program for people age 18 to 35 who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.
