Residents and Families
Yom Ha’Atzmaut, Israel Independence Day April 29, 2020
For Jewish people around the word, celebrating Yom Ha’atmaut is a way of expressing solidarity and connection with the land of Israel as well as strengthen our alliance with the only Jewish State in the world.
There is not yet an accepted “tradition” of how to celebrate this holiday, as the State of Israel is only 72 years old!
We have created a video of the songs of Israel that will be playing TODAY:
- On Channel 97 at Summit/Wolk/Lodge at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 2:30 pm and 6:00 pm
- On Channel 71 at the Jewish Home at 2:00 pm
(You will recognize many residents presenting the songs and will see a clip from Hillel School students too!)
Yom HaShoah Commemoration Service, April 21, 2020
Jewish Senior Life posted a special televised service presented by Silvana Bacman, Jewish Life and Learning Coordinator, and Rabbi Steven Rubenstein to commemorate Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day.
A powerful interview with Holocaust survivor and resident, Carl Voldman, was included. The service concluded with the resident community joining in prayers while lighting yahrzeit candles, in memory of all the lives lost.
Never Forget. Never Again.
Recognizing Exceptional Service in a Senior Living Community
Providing great customer service can make all the difference to residents and families in a senior living community. If you have experienced exceptional customer service, we want to hear about it and celebrate it.
The Leon Rosen Award for Exceptional Customer Service is designed to recognize Jewish Home employees who go above and beyond their job description to provide incredible service to the residents of the Jewish Home. Nominations are ongoing and accepted throughout the year. To nominate a caregiver(s), please fill out our online form here, print out a nomination form here and drop it off or email us at email@example.com.
