Jewish Senior Life Recognizes Exceptional Customer Service at 2019 Leon Rosen Awards Luncheon

ROCHESTER, N.Y., — Jewish Senior Life, one of the top nonprofit employers in Rochester, recently held its annual Leon Rosen Exceptional Customer Service awards luncheon.

Celebrating its 10th year, this recognition was established in memory of Leon Rosen, to honor and inspire those employees who go above and beyond the call of duty in providing outstanding service to Jewish Home residents. There were 31 employees honored, and Alpha Daramy, CNA and Peter Kpor, CNA were recognized as annual winners. On receiving this honor, Alpha thanked his mom and his colleagues for their support and encouragement. He also appreciated the Rosen family, “for encouraging us as employees to meet the standards for what Jewish Senior Life stands for in caring for our residents”.

Members of the Rosen family were on hand to share in the celebration and to present the awards. “We established this award both to honor our father and to give Jewish Senior Life residents and their families a way to thank those to whom they’ve entrusted their daily care,” said Ellen Rosen. Leon’s motto, recited frequently to his children was “Take an extra second and do it right”.

Jewish Senior Life employs over 1,000 people and was named a 2019 Top Workplace for the third year in a row by the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle. The organization aims to enhance the quality of life, health, and well-being of residents and their families, giving employees a chance to make a difference in the lives of the senior community every day.
