Jewish Senior Life Provides Food Pantry for Employees

ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 24, 2020 – Jewish Senior Life has opened a food pantry to provide free grocery items to its employees on a weekly basis and show support and appreciation for employees during these challenging times.

Beginning this week, Jewish Senior Life will provide each employee a shopping bag with free staple grocery items like soup, peanut butter and more. “We recognize this is a challenging time for our employees,” says Emy Giacalone, Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Staff OD. “With grocery stores having limited hours and limited staple items available, our hard-working staff may find it harder to get some of the basic food they need. We want to provide those items for them and their families. ”

On the first visit, employees will receive a fabric reusable shopping bag that they can use when shopping the pantry. The pantry will be available every Tuesday.
