Rochester, N.Y., October 27, 2020—Jewish Senior Life’s Jewish Home of Rochester has been nationally recognized for excellence in care, ranking among U.S. News & World Report’s Best Nursing Homes 2020-21.
Ratings were given in designations of High-Performing, Average, or Below Average. The Jewish Home was ranked as High Performing for both Long-Term Care and Short-Term Rehabilitation. The Jewish Home was one of only two homes in the Rochester area ranked High-Performing in both categories.
Of the 13,433 nursing homes nationwide, only 8% received a High-Performing rating in Long-Term Care. Of the 617 nursing homes in New York State, only 8% received the High-Performing rating.
Of the 14,126 facilities nationwide that received the Short-Term Care rating, only 17% received the High-Performing rating. Of the 617 homes in New York State, only 12% received the High-Performance rating.

The Jewish Home of Rochester is licensed by the New York State Department of Health and is both Medicaid and Medicare certified. The Home is currently a 5-star rated nursing home from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the highest CMS rating possible.
