Braking Dad: The Summit at Brighton Hosts Third Annual Classic Car Show

JUNE 16, 2022 – ROCHESTER, NY  Jewish Senior Life’s independent living community, The Summit at Brighton, is hosting its third annual Classic Car Show on Sunday, June 19, to celebrate Father’s Day. Cars will be parked along Summit Circle Drive and the roads surrounding The Summit. The car show will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., followed by a parade around the Jewish Home Farash Tower and Cottages.

Gene Trotta, Executive Director of Dining at Jewish Senior Life, organizes the event every year. He says, “We are very excited to host the Classic Car Show again. Our residents enjoy reminiscing and sharing experiences with their loved ones and friends. It’s a privilege to put together something like this for them every year. A unique addition to Sunday’s lineup will be the RTS 1957 bus, which should bring back some great memories for the residents.”

Trotta expects between 20 to 30 different vehicles, with models ranging from a 1932 DeSoto to a 1965 Austin-Healy. Food, beverages, and music will be provided throughout the day. The parade is slated to arrive at the Jewish Home Farash Tower at approximately 2:00 p.m.

The Summit at Brighton is located at 2000 Summit Circle Drive in Rochester. More information about Jewish Senior Life can be found at www.jewishseniorlife.org. For media inquiries, please contact Stacey Rowe at 585-354-9765.
