Jewish Senior Life Hosts Brodsky-Grossman Recognition Awards for Wolk Manor Employees

2023 Brodsky-Grossman Award winner, Dareye Andarge, with Jewish Senior Life President and CEO, Michael S. King

(August 4, 2023 – ROCHESTER, NY) Jewish Senior Life honored 7 employees for their dedication and service to Wolk Manor assisted living residents at the annual Brodsky-Grossman Employee Recognition Awards presented Wednesday, August 2.

The Brodsky-Grossman Recognition Award was established in 2001 by Alan Brodsky and Eileen and Michael Grossman through a generous grant from the Brodsky-Grossman Foundation. Residents, family members, and staff are given the opportunity to nominate a Wolk Manor employee who performs above and beyond their normal duties.

Dareye Andarge, a Resident Assistant of five years at Wolk Manor, was the 2023 winner. Those who nominated her mentioned how Andarge goes above and beyond, is always there for them, is reliable, and always keeps her word. She was presented with an engraved plaque, education credit, and a monetary award. The remaining nominees received a certificate of achievement and monetary awards.

“It’s a pleasure to celebrate staff every year for their exemplary performance and the compassionate care they provide to our residents at Wolk Manor,” says Thomas McDade Clay, Executive Director of Jewish Senior Life Foundation. He continues, “Sam and Betty Brodsky were former Wolk Manor residents whose family were very impressed by the kind and caring attitude the entire staff exhibited while they were here. We’ve been incredibly grateful to recognize our dedicated Wolk Manor employees for their work for over two decades.”
